For six consecutive years, Jennifer has produced a Christmas concert to help raise money for the Lids4kids program. With the help of
Bluegrass Christmas ensemble Still Waters, other Eastern North Carolina musicians, and
the Swansboro United Methodist Church over $20,000 was raised from the concert. Musicians such as
The Grassy Creek Bluegrass Band, Still Waters, Spirit Praise, Dwayne Williams, The Karg Boys, Dmitri Resnik and Charlie Williams have been featured during the concert.
About the Program
Lids4Kids is a non-profit organization supplying free baseball caps to children undergoing radiation therapy or chemotherapy. Their motto is simple: “MAKE SICK KIDS HAPPY”.
The program, founded by Johnathan Fulcher, was conceived during Johnathan’s own radiation treatment where he met a young boy named Nathaniel. Undergoing treatment with Nathaniel was the catalyst for the program’s inception.
About Johnathan
Johnathan, or John-John, suffered a benign brain tumor. While a patient at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, he underwent extensive therapy, radiation treatment,
and radio surgery. After recovering from initial surgery, Johnathan went back to college and graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS Degree in
Criminal Justice.
