Other teachers and PTA members highly recommend Jennifer's School Assemblies
This Morning Jennifer Shelton Licko performed for our k-2 grade students and our 3-5 grade students. Both performances were age appropriate and engaging.
Jennifer provided information in a manner that each group could easily comprehend. Her musical selections were of an excellent quality.
Not only did Jennifer know how to relate to our students, she was able to easily regain their attention following more participatory segments of her program. She arrived well in advance
of the performances and was very well organized. I would strongly recommend her to other schools seeking to inform their students about North Carolina's Scottish heritage.

Dear Jennifer,
I wanted to express my appreciation for your recent performance at Northeast
Elementary School here in Pikeville, NC. You gave a very thorough
presentation and kept attention levels up for all ages, students and
teachers alike. I particularly noticed how well you maintained positive
discipline throughout your time with each group. I heard more compliments
and positive comments about your performance than I have for any other
visiting artist - individual or group - that we have had in quite a few years.
In fact, I have not heard even one negative comment - in the complex,
stressful and diverse world of teachers, that is quite a feat! Thanks
again for a very educational and enjoyable presentation.
Sincerely,
Jean Milleson

Jennifer performed for two groups at our elementary school (Grades K-2 and 3-5). Everyone was pleased and excited about her program - the students, teachers, administration, PTA and parents. The feedback that I received was about students going home and dancing for their parents and speaking a bit of Gaelic. One the teachers told me that it was the best Cultural Arts program that they had ever seen.
Jennifer’s program is very lively with audience participation. She sent us curriculum information and a CD in advance so that classroom teachers and our music teacher could prepare the students in advance which they did. It was beautiful hearing the students sing the refrain to Loch Lomond along with Jennifer. She custom-designed each program to fit the age and attention span of the students. I enthusiastically recommend Jennifer’s program.
Regards,
Robbin Smith

I always leave with a wish for more of your music to listen to."

"Jennifer Licko brought to our school a chance to look at a
culture different from our own. She opened the eyes of the students to not only
heritage but to what awaits those with interested minds."
